Recovery of overpayments (repayment) is a prioritized focus area for Försäkringskassan, and your work will be a vital part of our mission where you will work in our new department. We are strengthening our ability to combat benefit fraud through the Benefit Fraud Department, where we consolidate Försäkringskassan's competence, knowledge, and capacity in this area. The department will have a unified responsibility for the cross-agency work on preventing and countering benefit fraud, from the operational level to the strategic level. This means the department will play a crucial role in Försäkringskassan's work against benefit fraud and contribute to development within the area of responsibility, both within the agency and externally.

As a Unit Manager, you are the leader closest to the employees and the operations. You are responsible for leading and driving the daily work based on the department's mission and goals, where the public sector values underpin your work. Through your leadership, you convey clear expectations, monitor goals, and provide your employees with the right conditions to take their responsibility. You have personnel responsibility as well as result and follow-up responsibility for the teams in your unit.

Your unit consists of approximately 20–25 employees working with repayments, located in Östersund. Through close leadership, you create the predictability, security, and sustainability necessary for employees to take responsibility and meet the need for change. You create understanding of contexts, direction, and the target images set by the department, and develop the plans your operations need. As a Unit Manager, you are a support to the Area Manager and you are part of the area's management group consisting of 11 people, where you contribute your competence and engagement. You adapt and exercise your leadership in a way that creates conditions for employees to use their judgment and competence.

The position involves handling confidential information, which places high demands on proper handling. Therefore, it is important that you who are to work with us have a high level of security awareness.
